This is a photograph I snapped of myself this afternoon as a before shot. This is something that I should have done a long time ago, but I am only now getting to it. I realize that I have been keeping a grueling workout schedule, and a strict diet for the last couple of months, and that is good, but I do still have a while to go. I have just started in a brand new fat burner supplement that I have been hearing good things about, so I will go at it for cycle.
This supplement is called OxyELITE Pro.

Supplements I've Been Taken

From my research and Physician consultation, This supplement belongs in a class of fat burner called the Thermogenic. Thermogenesis is the process by which you body produces heat or energy by increasing your metabolic rate above what is considered normal. This process is known as the Thermogenic Effect, or SDA (Specific Dynamic Action), or the Thermogenic Response. Naturally, this process can occur after consuming certain foods, such as proteins and some carbs. Because energy is needed to eat and process foods, this process is stimulated through the digestion, absorption, and disposal of food. And since some foods take longer to digest than others, Foods like protein and slow carbs give you the greatest thermo effect. OxyELITE Pro works by artificially stimulating the Thermogenic effect in your body, without the use of food. In fact, it actually inhibits your appetite. And it works. I have been taking this particular Thermogenic fat burner for two weeks now, and I feel a lot more energetic and productive in the gym and I only get hungry a few times a day. And even when I eat, it is a fairly low amount that I consume before I become full. The only downfall that I can see so far is the frequent sweating, Although it does get better and you sweat less the longer you take it, but unfortunately you sweat constantly during that first week.

Now if you are familiar with supplements or read other fitness blogs, or even if you are an avid view of Dr. Oz, then you have most certainly been hearing about the "miracle" Garcinia Cambogia extract. My partner and I took this particular incarnation of the supplement for a period of two and a half months, and we saw absolutely no change in our fitness and eating habits. And since the different manufacturing companies of Garcinia Cambogia boast about the miraculous properties associated with it, such as appetite suppression, energy production by inhibiting the food you eat from being stored in your body as fat, and instead used as a direct source of energy that is then burned off. I will admit, I fell the hype that immediately followed the endorsement made by Dr. Oz on his show last year and I went with it, confident that if it were good enough for the Doc, then it was good enough for me. But ultimately it served as nothing but a disappointment. I remember after the airing of that week's show, one could not find a bottle of this stuff in the stores. I would go into GNC on the day they get there shipments in, and they would already be out after a few hours. That was then. Now? You go into GNC, and I guarantee that you will find bottles of it by damn near the box full. I guess I was not the only one to not be happy with this product.

Next we have this Nitric Oxide booster by Precision Engineered Limited. It works alright. I usually use this before a workout, especially if I am going to be doing some serious weight training. Like most Nitric Oxide tabs, they are HUGE and blocky, not to mention, you have to take three of them per dose, three times daily. If you can get past the lump in your throat, I say head on down to your neighborhood GNC or Vitamin Shoppe, and pick some up. Since this is a booster, it SUPPORTS Nitric Oxide production in your body, making it safer (apparently) than the tabs that introduces it directly into your system. That may or may not be true, but I like NITRIX from GSN LABS better than this. Much better. There is nothing like coming home from the gym and feeling that wonderful vascular strength in your arms chest and abs. Nitric Oxide is supposed to help make that happen. If you are just getting started with your fitness goals, this product would be a great starter for you to partake in. Then when you feel like you're ready, graduate to the next level. I think if you are a weight lifter (especially if you are a guy) Nitric Oxide can be one of your best friends. ESPECIALLY if you happen to be going out to a club or party that night. And let is not forget the beach!

Now we can't forget green tea. Instead of chugging down several mugs of liquid green tea per day, I decided to take the supplement instead. With its genseng, antioxidants, and natural caffeine, it gives you a little energy boost for the start of your day without the crash, and it is good for your blood, skin, and your immune system. It is just plain ol' good for you. I have been taking this guy for about six months, and I love it. It is a good supplement. There tons of different green tea supps out there, a lot of them differ in the amount of green tea they contain. This particular supplement contains 50% caffeine and it also contains soy (the capsule is made out of it), so make sure if you're allergic to it, find one that suits you. And of course this goes without saying, that although I am about to go to med school, I am not a doctor quite yet. My blog is based off of research, and my own experience. So if there is anything that you are not sure about, or have any specific questions that pertain to your own body and health, contact your doctor. And always always ALWAYS read the warning labels on any new supplements and medications you take. You never know what you may putting in your bodies. And since I know the majority of people (especially young guys like me) rarely consult there doctors when they want to start taking a new fat burner or whey protein, AT LEAST read the labels guys.I am going back to the gym tonight, and Then again in the morning, so I will be posting again for you all soon.
